You get up one morning and head straight to the kitchen to brew one of your best coffee k cups only to find out that the machine isn’t working. That just ruins your whole day, doesn’t it? Open the lid of your k cup using a knife or a pair of scissors and pour the contents into the cup with hot water in it. Just mix it, and it’s done. Isn’t that easy?

 

For k cups that have filters in them, it would be a bit different. There are two simple ways to brew them. One way is to first boil an adequate amount of water in a pot. Again, you have to add a bit more because of the water that would be evaporating when you boil it. While waiting for the water to boil, get the k cup you want to brew. Cut the bottom part of it. Make sure that you do it carefully so you won’t punch a hole in the filter inside. Carefully cut off the remaining plastic container, leaving only the filter and the lid with the coffee still intact inside. When the water boils, put the bag or bags in the pot with the boiling water. Remember, you can add more than one depending on the strength of your coffee and the flavor you want. You can add more water if you want to brew more coffee at once. Wait for about a minute or more. You can let it boil a little longer if you want to have a stronger taste of your coffee. After this is done, remove the bag or bags from the pot and you now have a freshly brewed coffee. Just pour the coffee from the pot into your favorite mug and drink.

 

Another way and a lot less messy is by pouring hot water straight into the cup. For this, boil water in a pot or a water heater, or even a kettle if you have one. While waiting for the water to boil, select the best coffee k cups or cup you want and cut the bottom part of it. I have to remind you again to be careful so you won’t cut the filter, too. Get a clean sifter and place it securely over your preferred cup. Make a small hole in the lid of your k cup, or you could take the whole lid off if you want. Put the cut capsule on top of the sifter, careful as not to spill any of the powder from inside. I would recommend you to use a sifter that is a bit curved in the middle so you could easily let your k cup sit on it. When the water has boiled, just pour the hot water little by little into the k cup pod. The water would drip down through the sifter and into your cup. Is it simple right? Of course, it’s easier and faster to use a machine, that’s what they’re made for anyway, but these tips can help you just in case your brewer breaks down.
